Dash Board Multi-Mount Platform I removed my dash ashtray and designed a simple stainless steel mounting platform that allows me to securely attach any number of items (toys) in its place. A threaded knurled knob and a common 8x32 threaded rivenut is used to hold my GPS bracket, compass or mini camera tripod. Satin finish $20. or painted flat black finish $23. No drilling is required to install the platform - all installation hardware and threaded knurled knob is included. (Sorry - You do have to lose the ashtray!) I am also offering the same device without the wrap over the front of the dash. It is a little stealthy when not in use.
