Two key items under your truck that need extra protection are your differentials and the sills just below your doors. The '98 disco has 1/4" thick tubular steel rock sliders that support the weight of the vehicle just in case it passes over a high burm or high rocks. >RockSliders< The differential guards are 1/4" thick steel plates that bolt on and protect both the front and rear differentials. The diffs are the lowest part of the truck - if you inadvertently knock a hole in your diff out in bush you will loose the oil for the gears and need a tow home.>Differential<
